UK campaigners lend their legs for a mine free world
London, April 4th 2012
Today UK campaigners participated in the global ‘lend your leg’ campaign being run by the ICBL and the UN on International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.
Campaigners from Action on Armed Violence, Amnesty International UK, Article 36, Handicap International, ICBL-CMC, Oxfam, Saferworld and Transparency International lent their legs today and we were joined outside parliament by Stuart Hughes, BBC journalist and landmine survivor.
Earlier, at a meeting with the Foreign Office this morning on the Arms Trade Treaty, campaigners lent their legs together with the UK Ambassador for Disarmament and other UK officials.
